Sunday Morning - “The Time in Between”
Good morning, I hope this finds you & all those in your circle of love healthy & happy.
One of the things that my sister Teri mentioned at Tami’s funeral, were her memories of Tami. She mentioned the fond childhood memories; some were easy for me to remember and very funny. Then she spoke about all the fond memories of the last eight years, while Tami was sick. The time in between was grey; busy, all of us doing our own thing, meaning well but focused on our own individual paths. When Tami got sick, we all started to change, especially Tami. She had to slow down, more people came around, she was home more, she spent more time with her children and we emailed, called and visited more. If Tami had not become sick, would we all just have gone on with the grey area Teri mentioned? Would Tami have stayed as busy as she was? Working as many hours? Would she have spent that quality time with her children, which had such a huge impact on their life? Would I be writing this message to you now?
I was mentioning to my nephew and niece, Luke and Britt, how much Tami has affected me, my everyday life and how many Sunday Morning’s were written with her in mind. I looked back at the Sunday Mornings and found many where Tami’s name was mentioned. Then I wondered how many she affected that I was simply not aware of the impact she had on me, my life and what or why I shared what I did.
We should all be so blessed to be aware of what is truly special in our lives. Act as if we only have one life to live and certain loved ones to share those moments with. And do our best to avoid the grey area, focusing on the time in between and embrace our blessings.
peace & God bless
