Sunday Morning - “Time to Learn”
Good morning & I hope this finds you smiling, enjoying your Sunday…
I‘ve felt like I have been questioning myself a lot lately; what to do, what area to work harder on, which goal to apply myself in a new and exciting way and WHEN will this all happen? When I look from the outside in, what I would tell another is simply that, “You are going through what you are going through for a reason and what you are feeling, you are supposed to be feeling.” The test is to not know when it is going to end or how. You need to truly understand what it is that you and what He wants for you. The quicker you embrace this, the quicker the answers will come. :-)
I read this & LOVED it! Hope you enjoy as well & I sincerely hope that you are smiling “Right Now!”
Time To Learn
A young but earnest Zen student approached his teacher, and asked the Zen Master:
“If I work very hard and diligent how long will it take for me to find Zen?”
The Master thought about this, and then replied, “Ten years.”
The student then said, “But what if I work very, very hard and really apply myself to learn fast — How long then?”
Replied the Master, “Well, twenty years.”
“But, if I really, really work at it. How long then?” asked the student.
“Thirty years,” replied the Master.
“But, I do not understand,” said the disappointed student. “At each time that I say I will work harder, you say it will take me longer. Why do you say that?”
Replied the Master,” When you have one eye on the goal, you only have one eye on the path.” - author unknown
