harmonious balance

The only thing I love more than being affected, is affecting others.
It comes down to sharing our stories, our gifts, our blessings and our challenges.
Listening to others, learning and growing.
Doing your best and then simply letting go.

permalink Sunday Morning ’ “A Fountain”
Happy Sunday… :-) This past Thursday my mother’s mother would have been 96. She passed 1 ½ years ago. She used to call me “#1 Grandson”. I thought of her and how she made me feel and wondered if she was watching me as I wished her a Happy Birthday. I had a great morning. Which then led to a phone conversation with my sister Tami who got out of the hospital last week. I wasn’t sure if I would get the chance to speak with her again. I thought of her, that God moment, what that meant to me and had a great afternoon. That night I reflected on what was truly happening in my life; in the last 2 months, in the last 2 weeks, in the last 2 days. I have been calmer, more at peace and those around me have noticed. I think back to all I was going through and still am now, and know more than ever all I can be, is me. I awoke the next morning filled and very at peace. I was training a client and they expressed a little self-doubt knowing they were finishing a big project and how it would be received. Them knowing what I have been through lately, I shared this analogy with them. All we can be in life is true to ourselves. A Cliché, I know. But it’s spot on. Take a water fountain in the middle of a pond. There is nothing I find more serene than a fountain, of any sort. But a fountain spraying water up and out, into still water below… just love them. Zen. But what is a fountain’s sole purpose? It simply continues to do what it is meant to do; let the water within, flow up and out. There in lies the beauty of them. Solely focused on doing just that, the fountain is not worried about if or where the drops will land, or where they will go on from there or who is watching. It must simply be true to itself and continue being that that which it was meant to be. That’s all we can ask of ourselves. That’s all we should expect from ourselves and that’s all we should settle for within ourselves. Have the faith that that pursuit, will lead you to a better you. peace & God blesstjd
