harmonious balance

The only thing I love more than being affected, is affecting others.
It comes down to sharing our stories, our gifts, our blessings and our challenges.
Listening to others, learning and growing.
Doing your best and then simply letting go.

peace & God bless

permalink Sunday Morning Message- “A Christmas Story”
In October a woman tells her husband that she found an amazing dining room table on Craig’s list and that she had already talked them down in price and that there are other people looking at it because it is so amazing. She said her Mother would pitch in, so it could be their Christmas present from her. Then the wife asked her husband if he could pitch in and it could be her present from him as well and if she could borrow some cash and if they could pick it up tomorrow morning? And that it’s an hour and a half away.

The husband thought to himself, “”You’re kidding?” & then said, “I love you, yes.”

In November, with the economy, her Mom deciding she wanted to get the couple something else, the wife suggests to her husband that they shouldn’t exchange gifts this year and since they had already got the dining room table and chairs.

The husband thinks to himself. ”Am I, not getting a present? Am I ever going to get paid back???” Then the husband took a breath and said, “Yes, I love you…”

In December the wife suggests “if” the husband wanted to get her something for Christmas, he could get her “just” a mirror from Home Depot. Since she was re-doing the spare bedroom, she said, “I do need ‘one’ more thing at Home Depot, maybe just a gift certificate then?” But, only if he wanted to and if he could make just one more wooden frame for her vision board when he had a chance?”

The husband, now married 9 years, just smiled. In a flash he remembers how much he truly loves his wife. As he starts to feel this special warmth in his heart, which is how he knew he first loved her in the very beginning, by that same warmth, and he thinks to himself, “I just love her so much. She is truly special and she is my everything…”

The husband says to his wife, “You’re frickin’ killing me here!!!”
