harmonious balance

The only thing I love more than being affected, is affecting others.
It comes down to sharing our stories, our gifts, our blessings and our challenges.
Listening to others, learning and growing.
Doing your best and then simply letting go.

permalink Sunday Morning Message - ”Pro-You”
One of the areas I tend to preach the most on is that of being “pro-you”. It falls in the category of being easier to state and more difficult to apply, but as I always say, “Deem yourself worthy of the effort” and reap the rewards. First and foremost, being pro you is not anti anyone else. That being said, part of your test will be handling the people that view what you are doing as “anti them”. Being pro-you is simply making decisions that have a positive affect on you, your life, your happiness, your balance and your path in life. It may be saying no to a situation, to a group of people, to going somewhere, or not taking a job, breaking up with someone or simply working out and eating better. If you want to start working out and the best time for “your” schedule is in the morning before work, a “pro-you” decision may come in the way of going to bed earlier, so you feel rested and able to wake up and get that omnipotent workout in. This may also involve saying “no” to going out with friends, watching a late movie with your significant other or staying up watching tv. Again, easier stated and harder to apply, once you have adapted to this regime, you will feel better, more empowered, have more energy for the day, look and feel better and start sleeping better at night. On paper everyone seems to agree that making these type of decisions will have a positive impact on their life. But the it comes to “applying” the “Pro-You” change, the ones that feel it is “Anti-them” will let you know and your true challenge will begin! If it was easy, we would all be doing it, I wouldn’t be writing this and I would not have a job as a trainer! But nothing worth doing ever comes easy, it is simply the way life is. So deem yourself worthy, know that simply repetition is the key to learning anything and turning bad habits into good ones!
