harmonious balance

The only thing I love more than being affected, is affecting others.
It comes down to sharing our stories, our gifts, our blessings and our challenges.
Listening to others, learning and growing.
Doing your best and then simply letting go.

peace & God bless

permalink Sunday Morning Message - “1928”
Good morning… :-)Early in the am one fine Saturday morning, where there were normally cars and their horns, people on sidewalks, the business of life, it was Zen. It was beautifully quiet and I truly enjoyed the time. On the way home, camera ready, I stopped wherever I saw a good shot. By our home, there is a school that was re-done but they kept the one old part; looks like a church. The light was hitting the leaves, and through the trees, and this very old building just looked great. A woman walking by stops and asks me “Why do you like this old building” w/ an accent I couldn’t quite make out. I answered “I love everything about this building!” She then went on to tell me: “That her and her husband moved here from Switzerland 30 years ago. They sold 2 pieces of land and came here with $100,000 thinking they were rich. They had to get a loan for the home they bought and to this day, still live in. A lot of people in this neighborhood have been here a long time and when the school was going to remodel they were going to tear down this old building. She said it was built in 1928. A bunch of us finally convinced them to keep the old building. She added that she too loved that building.”I just thought it was a “unique” moment for lack of better words. Early one morning, where basically hardly anyone is up, I randomly stop at an old building that I have lived next to for years, and on that day, this particular woman stops by to simply “share”…The gift we all have is the ability to “share” with your family, friends, or even people on the sidewalk. You could make someone’s day or moment, just like that kind, wonderful woman did for me ;-)- tjd
